Games like last night will make us much better in the end. It is games like that inwhich we must later on call on the past experiences to help lead us to victory. Good job! GATA!
Rachel pitched an awesome game striking out 19 Lincoln County hitters! We also played very good defense in the game. I think Megan Chesney had a great game, both on defense and at the plate. Quinn and Katie hit the ball real hard. Courtney had a good night at the plate. Jordan does a good job getting the bunt down. Grumpy and Rachel also get their bunts down.
It is execution in big games that wins or loses it for you. We could have folded up when they had a runner at 3B and no outs, but we did not fold. At that point we excelled! Rachel stood on the gas and K'ed them. The bunt Megan caught and threw to 2B last in the game was a big play. We really played well in the extra innings. That is what CHAMPIONS do!
We must find some more offense vs. good pitching. Let's mentally work on that over the next few days. Down the stretch we must hit on all cylinders and play "R" game! We have it inside to do good things. Do not be afraid to let it out and paly like CHAMPIONS!
I really feel like both Rachel and our entire team got stronger as the game went last night. That is a direct correlation to the work each of you do in the weightroom daily! It sometimes is not fun when you are working your butt off in the weightroom, but it pays off in the crucial situations. You have trained to be both mentally and physically tough. GATA to you on your effort day in and day out! Keep up the good work!
